Honours for Services at the FiFa World Cup 2006 in Germany

Like many other Red Cross units, we took part in the medical services for the Football World Cup 2006.

On several days for games in Cologne and Dortmund, we were on-call duty or present on site near the stadium.

For this dedication, all volunteers were honoured by the DRK Landesverband Westfalen-Lippe.

The ceremony took place in the Blomberg town hall because Blomberg’s mayor Klaus Geise wanted very much to thank our volunteers for their dedication.

Some impressions of the ceremony:

Our colleagues of the Lage Red Cross unit were honoured in the same ceremony. Together, we form the unit Lippe-Ost.

Our volunteers wait for the ceremony to begin....
